G. Geoffrey Gibbs

Geoff is one of the most active “trial attorneys” in Snohomish County and routinely handles litigation in Skagit, Island and King County as well. Although experienced in many areas of litigation and conflict, his practice primarily involves all aspects of Family Law, Business and Commercial litigation as well as Real Property boundary disputes and litigation involving estates and guardianships. He has also handled appellate matters before the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.

Geoff has been admitted to practice in all courts, federal and state, in Washington and Montana.  He served as Governor of the Washington State Bar Association from 2007 to 2010, Treasurer from 2009 to 2010, plus three terms on the WSBA Rules of Professional Conduct Committee.  He is currently serving as Chair of the WSBA Taskforce to rewrite and update disciplinary rules for attorneys. Geoff has also served as President of the Snohomish County Bar.

Geoff has received the singular honor of being awarded the Snohomish County Clerk’s Choice Award in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2009, not only for trial advocacy but for his demeanor and effectiveness when serving as a Judge Pro Tem (in Superior, District and certain municipal courts) and Superior Court Commissioner Pro Tem. He routinely serves as a “mediator” to assist other attorneys and their clients in settling cases and as an arbitrator to decide cases.
